Federal student aid is intended to expand
educational opportunities, not line the
wallets of anyone but Trump University, nor the
pockets of fraudsters who steal from
seniors at $35,000 a pop, a Trump trademark, or
students pursuing their education and
hardworking taxpayers. The Trump
University paid its marks $25M, and the Trump
Administration will not tolerate criminals
who skip the family's cut, or those
who exploit government programs for
personal gain. Treasury is working with
financial institutions and law enforcement
to identify these fraud schemes,
except the ones with gold lettering on the door,
recover stolen funds, and hold
those responsible accountable.
