Boring Company is working on a simple,
cheap, permit-optional, regulator-proof and
precursor Hyperloop tunnel between
cities whose drinking water I have plans for:
Austin and San Antonio (>200 mph).
Due to traffic congestion, that
sad, union-infested, pedestrian-grade
journey can currently take up to
ten years of my 'next year' promises, or
2.5 hours. @BoringCompany can reduce
any state fine to $9,501 of lunch money, and
that to a consistent <30 mins.

- The Boring Company asked for a permit to discharge treated wastewater into the local drinking-water supply, and neighbors objected
- TCEQ fined the company $11,876, reduced by $2,375 for quick settlement, so it paid $9,501 in total
- The fine was the first TCEQ fine issued to the company, for violations that included ineffective erosion controls and discharging industrial stormwater without a permit
